Hand picked food trucks up on the terrace to keep you fuelled all day long. Grab your favourite and head into our luxe dining hall and enjoy your kai while listening to our tunes.
Hang Out
We’re bringing in a sh*t load of lounging, cocktail furniture, beanbags, tables + chairs so you can hang out all damn day. BYO picnic blanket and park up with your faves in a good spot under the trees or under an umbrella - take your pick.

We run rain or shine! Plan A is for a totally outdoor event but with the peace of mind of the indoor venue on site should the weather decide to pack it in.

Absolutely! As well as alcoholic beverages, we’ll have low-alcohol and non-alcoholic options available for you.
We will have water stations around the venue - please make sure you hydrate yourself!
No alcohol may be brought into the venue and all drinks will be served in your reusable festival cup

Festival Info
Getting to the festival
The venue is the Awapuni Racecourse, 67 Racecourse Rd (off Maxwell’s line), in Palmerston North. Google maps may direct you to the back entrance via Te Wanaka Rd - this is wrong! Head in via Maxwell’s Line and we’ve got the wonderful team from the Rotary Club of Milson directing you in the drop off/pick up point or to park. We have plenty of free on-site parking if you have a sober driver lined up.
On arrival:
Festival gates are open from 12pm - 7pm (TBC). On arrival, please have your ticket ready to scan, either a printed version or displayed on your phone. Your ticket will be scanned by our team and you’ll be given an entry wristband.
Please be prepared to show your valid ID. We are able to accept a New Zealand Driver’s License, a New Zealand or Foreign Passport, Kiwi Access card or a HANZ 18+ card as identification. You willalso have your bag checked by security before you enter.
Please note all bags are subject to inspection at any point during the Festival. Bottles, cans, glass, food, drink, alcohol, illicit drugs, illegal substances, fireworks, explosives or anything that can be used as a weapon cannot be brought into the Festival.
As you enter, you’ll be given a Festival Cup, take a photo at the booth and you’re good to go! Don’t lose your cup - you only get one!
You can bring in empty clear plastic water bottles which can be filled up at water stations. If your bottle is full when you enter, you’ll be asked to empty it by security.

Salud Festival is an EFTPOS only event - no cash on site! All bars, trucks and stallholders are equipped to handle EFTPOS + credit payments, and we even have paywave!
With no cash to handle, this helps our vendors process transactions quickly, which means more time for you to enjoy the Festival!

Free water is available at designated water stations and at every bar
Non-alcohol and low-alcohol beverages are available from each bar around the festival
A chill-out zone is available if you’ve gone too far! Anyone requiring assistance in this zone will not be permitted back into the festival.
Alcohol will not be served to anyone who is intoxicated and you will be asked to leave the festival
Minors and fur babies are not permitted in the festival. Leave the kids at home!
