Rules + Regulations

Salud Festival is a licences liquor event operating under strict regulations. We reserve the right to refuse entry if suitable photo ID cannot be presented on request.

We reserve the right to remove any individuals from the Festival whose behaviour prevents other visitors from having a good time. Unacceptable behaviour includes, but isn’t limited to, intoxication, fighting and rudeness.

  • Alcohol sales are closed 30mins before the end of the event and an announcement will be made to remind you. All attendees must finish their drink by 6pm and vacate the venue by no later than 6:15pm

  • Children and babies are not permitted under the restricted liquor license (no exceptions).

  • The Salud team will happily assist with phone numbers for safe transport options and information whenever needed.

  • There will be a dedicated vaping/smoking area inside the venue.

  • Once you leave the Festival you won’t be allowed back in. Please remember everything you need, including rainwear and warm clothing.

  • Alcohol cannot be taken outside the Festival.

  • Unfortunately, there are no animals allowed, except for service dogs.

  • You’re more than welcome to bring blankets or picnic mats in with you.

  • Outside food & beverages cannot be brought in. You can bring in an empty clear water bottle and there will be free water available once inside.

  • Low-alcohol beverages and non-alcoholic beverages are available and food is always available from the food vendors.

  • Alcohol will not be served to anyone who is intoxicated.

  • There are maximum alcoholic beverage purchased limits per service.

  • Drinks can only be served in our Festival reusable cup, if you lose this, there is a $10 replacement fee.

  • Anyone deemed intoxicated will be asked to leave the Festival at any time during the Festival, and will not be permitted re-entry into the Festival. There is zero tolerance for unruly or aggressive behaviour.

  • Promotional photos and video will be taken at the Festival and by purchasing a ticket and / or attending the event you give permission for your likeness to be used by Salud Festival If you do not want your image used in any future promotional activity please locate a crew member at the Festival and let them know.

Terms + Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern all aspects of the sale of tickets to Salud Festival and the Festival itself. You are responsible for remaining aware of the Terms and Conditions.

  1. George & Co uses the third-party platform 'Eventbrite.co.nz' to sell Salud festival tickets. No other ticketing company is authorised to sell Salud Festival tickets without permission by us. You are responsible for paying any and all booking fees and charges, including but not limited to transaction and processing fees.

  2. If you do not let us know that you have not received confirmation of your ticket purchase through the third party ticketing platform, we will be unable to guarantee your ticket purchase.

  3. Salud Festival ticket/s must be presented in order to enter the event, either on your phone, via the EventBrite app or physically printed . The code on the ticket identifies this ticket, and can only be redeemed . We may refuse entry to all Salud Festival ticket holders presenting tickets with duplicate codes.

  4. All Salud Festival ticket prices are in New Zealand Dollars and include GST unless otherwise stated. These prices exclude third party ticketing booking fees.

  5. Salud Festival tickets cannot be refunded, exchanged or cancelled once issued. Tickets are transferable, but cannot be sold at inflated prices.

  6. Occasionally, events may be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control. Should this occur we reserve the sole discretion to determine whether to offer full or partial refund (if any) to you.

  7. If the Festival cannot take place due to a situation outside of the Organiser’s control (including but not limited to any act of God, natural disaster, global pandemic, fire, flood, council or government sanction or order, actions or decisions of police or other authorities, act of terrorism, war or industrial action, or cancellation by the Venue) (“Force Majeure Event”) then the Organiser may, at their sole discretion:

    1. Postpone the Festival: If the Festival is postponed within twelve (12) months of the original advertised dates, the Organiser may continue to hold payment for the Festival Ticket and you shall not be entitled to a refund. Instead, you shall have the right to use the Festival Ticket to attend the postponed Festival.

    2. Cancel the Festival: If the Festival is cancelled by the Organiser due to a Force Majeure Event, then the Organiser may in their sole discretion choose to grant a refund (less any service fees).

  8. Cancellations and/or Refunds due to adverse weather conditions are at the sole discretion of George & Co Events Ltd. George & Co Events Ltd does not offer an automatic right to a refund due to adverse weather conditions, and instead the festival will be moved inside the venue.

  9. The Ticket Holder and Organiser agree that where the Festival is unable to take place due to any cause or event in connection with COVID-19 or any other communicable disease, it shall be treated as a Force Majeure Event.

  10. George & Co Events Ltd reserves the right to withdraw, replace, or add products, services, food, beverages, artist line-up and any billed attraction or aspect of the Festival.

  11. You must comply with all security requirements of Salud Festival staff, event venue staff and security, which may include, but not limited to, you and your belongings being searched on entry, and the confiscation of any prohibited items including, but in no way limited to, alcoholic beverages, weapons etc.

  12. The Ticket Holder may be required to provide proof of age when arriving at the Festival or purchasing alcoholic beverages. We will accept the following types of identification: New Zealand Driver’s License, a New Zealand or Foreign Passport, Kiwi Access card or a HANZ 18+ card as identification. If suitable identification is not presented, you may be refused entry to the Salud Festival event. Any person aged under 18 is not permitted.

  13. George & Co Events Ltd reserves the right, without refund or to refuse admission to, or remove from a Salud Festival event, without compensation to you, in circumstances where George & Co Events Ltd or the venue considers it in necessary. This may include, but is not limited to, circumstances where tickets are lost or damaged, where you engage in misconduct such as fighting, being abusive or disorderly, hindering the conduct or running of the event or similar), and where you do not act in accordance with the rules and regulations set out by George & Co Events Ltd or the Awapuni Racecourse.

  14. No Salud Festival ticket used for advertising or other commercial purposes without formal written permission from George & Co Events Ltd.

  15. Any breach of these terms may result in you or the Salud Festival ticket holder being refused entry or being removed from the event.

 These terms and conditions can be updated by the Organiser at any time.
